供给、提供和供应的区别

offer、provide和supply都有“供给、提供”的意思，但在用法上有所不同：

1. provide指有远见，为应付意外、紧急情况等作好充分准备而“供给、提供”，可用于provide sb. (with sth.)或provide sth. (for sb.)结构。
2. supply通常指定期“供应”，强调替代或补充所需物品，常用于supply sb. with sth.或supply sth. to sb.结构。
3. offer侧重表示“愿意给予”，含有主动供给之意，常用于offer sth. to sb 、offer sb. sth.或offer to do sth.、offer sth for sb结构，后不能接宾语从句。

用法示例：

provide

• He persuaded other people to provide money or to give help.
• The school provided food for the students.
• They provided us with all the books we need.
• We are here to provide a service for the public.
• They provide design services and do printing and packaging

supply

• The cars will be supplied to people all over the country.
• Cows supply us with milk.
• In Britain milk is supplied to each house in bottles.
• Steel for this project was supplied by an international company.
• They were arrested for supplying counterfeit medicine to street vendors.

offer

• She offered me a cup of tea.
• He offered to go instead of me.
• The manager offered him a cigarette.
• He offered me shelter.
• He offered her a good job， but she turned it down.

注意：

provide不如supply常用，但前者可跟双宾语，而后者无此用法。有时它们可互换，可说provide/supply sth. to sb.，也可说provide/supply sb. with sth。

The bank provided/supplied him with a loan $100，000.

support指支持或赞成，如 support your idea， 支撑或扶持，support by sb.。
